About Dorothy Norris
Creating has always been her forte in life. DIY projects have kept her busy and interested. Her favorite hobbies are painting acrylic or watercolor art and decoupaging ceramic tile coasters and furniture. She also loves painting and antiquing furniture, writing, cooking and collecting cookbooks and teapots. Her favorite style of décor is farmhouse and vintage with just a touch of shabby chic, because it brings the old in with the new and allows the use of timeless treasures to be displayed along with newer décor, rather than leaving them packed away in chests or boxes in an attic or basement. Her birthday is Christmas Day, so that is her favorite Holiday to celebrate the birth of Christ, first, and then hers. Her late husband was a pastor for 30 years, so as a pastor’s wife, she has cooked many fellowship dinners, sewn Christmas costumes, and taught crafts to children in VBS for years. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren can attest to her love of family gatherings. Home and hearth is where her heart is, and she wants to share her love of decorating and tips with everyone.
